Hello,
My name is Michael and I work for a Dealership. We use a program called ADP, which runs off of a internet explorer backbone. I have a few end users who cannot print while in this program and others who can. The reason I know this is a external (other
then ADP's fault) problem is because I have completely reinstalled ADP.
Here is the issue I am having, when trying to print from ADP I get a .js file issue.
Error: res://ieframe.dll/preview.js - error performing in page operation
So far I have done the following:
- Reinstall Java
- Uninstall version 10 of IE to older version
- Reset all IE settings back to "default."
- Reinstalled printer from network driver (even though test pages work just fine)
- Reinstalled ADP as well as all its patches, temp files, and anything left over.
- Cleaned temp files/registry with CCleaner (new computer so really shouldn't matter THAT much anyways.)
I would image I am missing more troubleshooting steps as well, but I cannot not think of them at this time. It have found on forums that some people try the registry commands via administrative mode in command prompt:
¯ regsvr32 ole32.dll
¯ regsvr32 oleaut32.dll
¯ regsvr32 actxprxy.dll
I am out of ideas to try once I put in the registry values above and do a restart. I have sat on hours with ADP trying to resolve the issue. They know the printing plugin for the program runs off of Java and integrates with IE. The only problem is
there are 5+ other employee's who have the same setup and can print just fine. Re-imaging is my last ditch effort, and even then there might be a process or something that may go astray. I know ADP is affected by anything you do to Internet
Explorer and that has me wondering if there is a way to try to integrate Chrome as default and have it run off of that, but it may only be developed for IE.
Perhaps someone knows what could be causing this issue? Why would this "script" not work correct if I have tried all of the above information?
