Hi,
In IE10 browser, when http header X-UA-Compatible is set to EmulateIE8, IE10 displays the font collapsed. There is uneven letter spacing observed.
Here it can be observed that there is no spacing after 'H', 'm' and 'D'. And also there is more spacing after 'w' and 'c'.
When i changed the font from Arial to Times new Roman. This worked perfectly, i.e without any uneven spacing.
And also it works well in normal mode, i.e without using compatible mode in IE10 as well in IE8.
Can someone please explain this behavior? What is the issue with Arial font?
Note: I read about Helvetica and IE9 in the following links.
