We have been troubleshooting this puzzling issue with our web application (ASP.NET, .NET 4.0)
When a certain page is opened in IE 8, halfway through loading the page, IE would crash. I'm not sure where the problem lies.
Few facts we have gathered so far:
- Removing references to jQuery will allow the page to load correctly.
- Clearing the browser's cache right before loading the page, will allow the page to load correctly.
- jQuery version is irrelevant, the issue persists with any version.
- Only occur in IE 8. IE 9, 10, 11, Chrome, and Safari works correctly. Have not tested with Firefox.
- The issue starts to occur after IE 8 cumulative patch (KB2936068) was installed. Removing this patch is not an option as it contains security updates.
- Operating system is Windows 7 (64 bit)

Apologies in advance if I have post this in the wrong forum.
Any idea would be greatly appreciated!
