I have an application with a functionality to browse pdf file over http. When I deployed that code on windows server 2008 R2 (IIS 7.5) it works fine whereas when I did on windows server 2012 R2 (IIS 8.5) I found that server side w3wp process locks the file on windows server 2012 R2. We have anonymous authentication enabled for it. The settings for cache on IIS or app side are similar on both the environments.
Let me know if there is some setting that I am missing to set on windows server 2012 R2.
