While watching a movie on Netflix I noticed delays of the video, and the voice was out of sync with the speaker. I have a CPU percentage meter on my desktop, which is normally around 26% and about 46% while watching Netflix. But I noticed the CPU reading went to about 90%. As soon as the notification that new updates are available, the CPU meter went back down to low levels.
Let me say my windows update settings are set for:
1) Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them.
2) and the 2 other radio boxes are unchecked.
So why did this notification (of 6 updates) cause a high CPU percentage and thereby causing streaming issues, if it is not actually downloading the updating files?
