Input cross icon issue in IE modern browser

i've set a inner spacing in these input field but in IE [IE9 or above], she would reset this spacing after leave input.

css setting:
.error input[type="text"], .error input[type="number"], .error input[type="tel"], .error textarea {
    -webkit-box-sizing: border-box;
    -moz-box-sizing: border-box;
    box-sizing: border-box;
    padding: 18px 5px 17px;
    padding-right: 35px;
    border-color: #7f0000;
    color: #7f0000;
}
