Hosted an mp3 audio stream to a webpage via HTML5 audio element. The stream is working well will Desktop IE11, but not working with Windows Phone IE11. The error says the source is not supported, with error code 1072877856.
The Windows Mobile 10 Edge browser is also able to play the source.
About the stream:
Codec: MEGA Audio layer 1/2 (mpga)Channels: Stereo
Sample rate: 44100 Hz
Bitrate: 80 kb/s
the MIME type is audio/mpeg.
Have a simple question is mp3 audio stream can be supported with different sample or bitrate or no matter what WP 8.1's IE11 wont be able to play mp3 streams? I know mp4 is supported, but all other platforms are using this mp3 stream.
