Since IE11 is still in development, are there plans in supporting the Opus audio codec natively in the browser? I believe it would be wise to do so considering that Microsoft had a hand in its development and it makes IE a more HTML5 friendly browser.
It also helps that Opus is an IETF standard and a completely open and royalty free codec.
If IE11 does implement Opus codec support, a backport of the codec to IE9 and IE10 in the form of a Windows Update patch would be helpful in its adoption as well.
