We have a web application based on .net and are trying to make it work with all browsers. In the application there is an ActiveX control that gets data from the server based on options and prints checks directly to a printer at the client location.
My question is what would be the best technology to replace the ActiveX control? I have looked at window.print, creating a pdf on the server and downloading, and creating a windows form app to query the server to get the data to print. All of them
have issues and require too much user interaction. Is there a better solution?
