Erroneous behaviour of localStorage in Internet Explorer

hi everyone,

For multiple of our web based solution, we utilize localStorage.
Some users experience problems with this, so we started investigating.
It seems that localStorage is not accessible for these users.
When trying to access window.localStorage, an error message is returned:"The system cannot find the path specified."

The only way to fix this issue is to clear browsing history.
