The Adobe Flash player was needed to play the animations and videos in websites. HTML5 supports the video tag and provide these capabilities with improved performance, battery life, and increased security. So there is no need for flash.
In the newer version of MS Edge and IE, user will not able to use Flash anymore.
By the end of 2020, Microsoft will remove the ability to run Adobe Flash in Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer across all supported versions of Microsoft Windows. Users will no longer have any ability to enable or run Flash.
The official Adobe Flash end-of-life date is December 31, 2020.
