Hello.
I need an access to older Internet Explorers and Edge on my Mac OS to test websites I develop. I found something called "Modern.ie" and it seems like what I need.
So there first question what is "Modern.ie" exactly?
I also found an Virtual machines here:
https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/tools/vms/mac/
So I can choose a VM I want, for example "Edge on Win10" and download it.
But I also asked to choose a platform. I choose "Parallels Desktop" for example.
The second question is do I need a "platform" to work with virtual machine?
If I will purchase Parallels Desktop will I be able to work with those VM?
The website is also note me that:
Please note that these virtual machines expire after 90 days. We recommend setting a snapshot when you first install the virtual machine which you can roll back to later.
The third question is what is this exactly? Is snapshot some kind of backup utility for VM? Can I just do a snapshot every 90 days to make it works forever? Will this work if I just download a new VM every 90 days? Or I didn't get it at all and I have to pay for those VM and 90 days is just a trial?
It seems that here is a different platforms to work with VM. I can see Virtual box, Vagrant, VMware, Paralles.
The last question is which one is a simplest / cheapest way to work with? Need something that will work on El Capitan.
Thanks.
