Window getting minimized on call of Onblur of javascript in Windows 8 IE10

 Hi,

I have a date field which is having an Onblur event attached to it. I'm a calling a javascript method on call of onlbur. When i enter an invalid date and click somewhere else on the page, the onblur event triggers the method. I validate for the condition and throw an alert to the user. After the user clicks OK on the alert, the focus is set back to the field.

Now, this happens for the first time correctly. But when i do it for the second time, the window (which is calling alert) is getting minimized. So, the alert gets displayed on the previous active window. I have no script error or what so ever.

Steps:

1. After page load, click on the DOB field and enter an invalid date and click anywhere else on the page.

2. Alert gets displayed. Click OK. Focus goes back to the field.

3. Now, again click anywhere else on the page.

4. Window gets minimized and alert gets displayed on top of previous active window.

Note: This happens only in IE 10 and that too only in Windows 8 IE10. (It works fine in Win7 IE10 and previous versions)

Please suggest me a solution and your help is much appreciated.
