I've literally been searching for days looking for a way to get the my favicons back,
I have several web-sites pinned to both my taskbar and start-screen (most notably
Microsoft Hotmail and Google Mail), and in the past my Microsoft Hotmail-icon gave
me notifications regarding new e-mails, it doesn't now :-(
Not only doesn't either Microsoft Hotmail, nor Microsoft's Outlook.com pinned-site
show any notifications, I cannot see ANY icons on Internet Explorer, not Desktop
Internet Explorer and not in ''Modern'' Internet Exlporer. Google Chrome and
Netscape Navigator both show favicons, but Internet Explorer doesn't.
I wish to Pin ''modern'' M.S.N. (the Microsoft Network) to my start-screen, but
every time I try it shows me Internet Explorer's logo, it's not that I don't have
most of the functionality, I just want to make my start-screen beautiful and in
synchronization with my taste.
¿Is there a way to recover the favicons without deleting my present pinned-sites?
- a loyal Microsoft-costumer.
NOTE: I've searched on EVERY website looking for the solution, I've downloaded a few
dozen applications to restore it (none worked), I've Bing'ed the problem over and over
again, but I can't find the solution ANYWHERE. An Important side-note, my guest-account
(which uses my Brother's Microsoft-account) can pin web-sites to its start-screen with
logo's and all.''
Any advice would be welcome :-) thank you in advance.
