Excel VBA and IE9 Download Ribbon

Hi,

I am relatively new to coding in excel VBA, so forgive me if I have difficulties with any responses, or if I posed this to the wrong forum.

Basically, I am writing an Excel VBA (Excel 2010) macro to interact with an in-house web page (that I have no ability to modify) to open a .csv file and then interact with the .csv. I am to the point where I can get the webpage to start the download and show the download ribbon in IE9 (I have also heard it referred to the Download App) but have no way of interacting with it.

I have found answers for older versions of IE which involved getting the handles of the window and its children and selecting "open" that way, but that does not seem to work anymore. I have also tried the brute force "sendkeys" method, and for some odd reason, that does absolutely nothing, yet when i actually press the keys (Alt + O) the file opens..

All I need help on currently is clicking the "Open" button on the download ribbon. I am stuck and have been searching the internet for over a day trying to find information, but cannot seem to find anything.

Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks.
