My site has a lot of links like this:
<P ALIGN=CENTER><A HREF="http://mysite.org/myfile.mp3" TARGET="_blank"><FONT SIZE=4>My Link Text</FONT></A></P>
In Firefox, when I click on each link it plays automatically in my browser. In IE 11 I can't find a way to do this.
I get a pop-up asking if I want to Open or Save the file. If I click Open, nothing happens. If I click Save, the file downloads and then I have to find it and click on it to play it. This is not nearly as easy for the user as with the Firefox QT plug-in.
Somebody suggested I needed a server-side application but I haven't found anything that looks attractive for my purposes. One of these links is on my index page, most are on inside pages that you get to from a contents page.
Any thoughts? Am I asking in the right forum?
