Prior to IE 10 I could instantiate my activex object from javascript. I use it to read local files to information out of. Specifically office file to read the properties. My scripting object itself implements the IObjectSafety and has had no issues up until IE10.
I use the <input> markup to select a file for upload, but before upload I want to gather information on the file. I am using StgOpenStorage to open the file. But each time I use it I get a STG_E_SHAREVIOLATION error. I have loaded the site into the trusted zone. I cannot figure out what I am missing. Any ideas?
