HTML5 video not working at all

I developped a Website hosted by a provider and I use HTML5 video tags. I'm sure that three-four months ago, when I started, videos where working fine on any browser, IE included. I recently realized that videos are no more working on IE (either IE9 and IE10), saying sometimes "invalid source" or "video type not supported or invalid path". I use only .mp4 format.

I tryed to find out what's happend, I red a lot of documents on the web, without success, until I checked HTML5 compatibility of my IE10 browser throughhttp://www.w3schools.com/html/html5_video.asp and: "Yeah! Full support!", I then clicked on the "Try it yourself" button ... and had exactly the same problem "invalid source". Video works fine with all other browsers, iPad, smartphone, but not with IE.

I'm using a Windows 8 notebook constantly updated. I made the same test with another PC (with Vista and IE9) and had the same behaviour (IE doesn't work). this makes me mad!

On my development notebook (win8, IE10) this behaviour is the same even if I try to view a video from my local IIS. The development environment is VS2012.

I asked some users of my website if they experimented the same problem, but they all use iPad, smartphone or Chrome browsers.

I really don't understand why this absurd behaviour, I'm sure I'm experimenting something wrong.

Any help? thanks
