I'm running IE11 and am attempting to host a windows control in a html page. I know that this ins now obsolete but it is a legacy app that I'm dealing with.
I've enabled logging, set up trusted sites, updated caspol, set Internet Options regarding Active X controls and added relevant registry keys (to HCLM/Software/Microsoft/.NetFramework andHCLM/Software/Wow6432NodeMicrosoft/.NetFramework .
I've successfully run the windows control within the html page on other multiple computers (running IE8, 10 and 11) and have IEHOST logging working so I know how to set it all up (on windows 7 64 bit machines).
But on my computer all that shows in the IEHOST64.log file is
Creating security manager
Microsoft.IE.Manager: Microsoft.IE.Manager: unique id lgth = 34
Microsoft.IE.SecureFactory: Create SecureFactory() with security information
Microsoft.IE.Manager: Created secure factory
ie it stops logging at the above point and the windows control is not rendered.
How can this be fixed ?
I'm running windows 7 64 bit, and Frameworks 1,2,3.5 4 and 4.5 installed.
